Marvellous Moss! The Eco-Art Option for Your Interior
Installing a moss wall is a striking and natural way to create a botanically inspired wall covering or bespoke work of art, with the added benefit of being a proven way to decrease airborne dust and pollutants.
Many commercial companies use these beautiful natural creations as they act as sound buffers for spaces which benefit from noise reduction, such as rooms with hard floors, busy offices and restaurants. Lush plants and vegetation naturally absorb sound, whilst of course adding the visual element of peace and tranquillity through vibrant greenery. Reports now show that adding plants and greenery to a workspace greatly increases productivity and massively benefits the overall wellness of workers.
Natures Art: Chemical-Free Production 
The highly versatile nature of a moss wall allows you to incorporate your branding into the design. The process is entirely bespoke, and panels come in any size from a small square to full wall-to-ceiling coverage.
The moss we use for our walls is completely natural and truly eco-friendly. Moss is collected in Northern Europe by hand, no machines are used in this process, keeping our carbon footprint very low. We harvest both Bun Moss and Flat Moss for their bouncy texture and their hardly durable structure. Once collected the moss is preserved, using a non-chemical ecological product, which consists of vegetable glycerine, water and food colouring, with the remaining space cultivated to grow new moss organically.
Our preserved moss walls are surprisingly low maintenance, with no watering, feeding or light required once it has been installed. To retain the lush look of your wall we suggest you gently wipe the moss with a feather duster to remove any dust particles. If carefully maintained your moss wall should last anything from 2-10 years, although the longevity of your wall will depend on the ambient moisture level of the environment. They are best located away from a direct heat source or radiator.
The most suitable location for a moss wall is away from too much passing human traffic, and not in direct sunlight, as this may fade the colour. An additional benefit is that your moss wall will help to balance moisture levels, it can absorb moisture out of the air when humidity is high and then release it back into the air when humidity is low.
A preserved moss wall is very lightweight and quick to install, so if you want to change or update your design in the future you can easily make these adjustments. If you want to change the location of your wall it can simply be taken down and relocated without the need to add watering systems or strengthen walls. A moss wall is suitable for almost any interior, it requires very little maintenance and is ideal for areas of low light that would benefit from the visual stimulation of foliage, but where living plants would struggle.
