Soho Bars commissioned A Greener London to install an Internal Living Wall as part of the refurbishment of their iconic Freedom Bar in Soho, London. Running the length of the main wall, this was the main feature of the renovation works & new bar scheme.
The wall is situated on entrance to the bar, allowing the customers to immediately take in the whole atmosphere and the effects that these live plants add to the bar.
Using the the LivePanel system from our Dutch partners Mobilane, this was installed as a sealed unit with manual irrigation 1 – 2 times per month. Consideration was made with the Biophilic design to include full colour spectrum lighting & plants that would match the colour scheme, offer good air purification in this busy bar & would thrive under these conditions. Peace Lily’s are one of the key plants in air purification that we made sure to include, as well as our hardiest fern species, dracaena & a range of calathea.
